Project Background
Customer Requirements:
The city's newly built energy integrated management and control center needs to build a core command screen system to monitor key data such as power grid load, oil and gas pipeline pressure, and water source scheduling in real time. The project requires 24/7 uninterrupted operation, supports simultaneous visualization of 12 heterogeneous system signals (SCADA/GIS/video surveillance, etc.), and realizes cross-departmental collaborative command in the event of emergencies.
Project Challenge:
- Ultra-Long Standby Requirements: annual average operation ≥ 8,000 hours, must meet 100,000 hours of life design;
- Multi-Signal Compatibility: three sets of isolated network signals of power network/government network/Internet need to be integrated;
- Strong Light Interference: the control room has one surrounding window, and the ambient illumination is as high as 1,500 lux;
- Ergonomic Defects: the original layout caused 30% of the seats to have blind spots in the screen viewing angle.
Solution
Display System Customization:
- Select indoor SMD small-pitch screen (P1.25mm), 3840Hz refresh rate to eliminate high-speed data flow smear;
- The cabinet is equipped with an independent air duct cooling system to ensure stable operation in a high-temperature environment of 55℃;
- The modular design supports hot-swap maintenance, and a single cabinet replacement takes ≤5 minutes.
Optical Enhancement Processing:
- Adopt 2500cd/㎡ high-brightness panel + wide viewing angle technology (horizontally/vertically 160°);
- Load intelligent light sensing algorithm to dynamically adjust contrast according to the intensity of sunlight outside the window;
- Add anti-glare AG glass on the surface to reduce strong reflection interference.
Signal System Integration:
- Deploy a fiber-optic KVM seat management system to enable 12 seats to call up signal sources at will;
- Configure a dual-engine processor (automatic master-slave switching) to support 4K@60Hz lossless transmission;
- Establish a three-layer security isolation: physical network gate + protocol filtering + permission authentication.
Space Optimization Layout:
- 15° arc splicing (radius 8m) is used to eliminate the viewing angle deviation of the edge seats;
- The bottom of the screen is raised 1.2m to ensure unobstructed viewing distance for people in the back row;
- The pre-buried cable duct integrates 200+ cables and has passed the TIA-942 equipment room certification.
Project Outcomes
- A 10.24m×3.84m curved large screen (64 cabinets) was built, with an average daily operation of 18.5 hours;
- Multi-signal switching delay <0.2 seconds, emergency response efficiency increased by 40%;
- Zero downtime within a two-year operation cycle, pixel failure rate <0.01%;
- Energy consumption control reached 1.8W/thousand pixels, and obtained LEED Energy Star certification;
- Operator visual fatigue complaint rate decreased by 73%.

Project Highlights:
Millisecond Response: ≤800ms from SCADA alarm to large screen pop-up window;
Cross-segment Penetration: realize three-network signal linkage without breaking network isolation;
Intelligent Operation and Maintenance: AI diagnosis system predicts fault module 48 hours in advance;
Ultra-Wide Color Gamut: 115% NTSC coverage accurately restores pipeline heat map;
Zero Blue Light Damage: passed TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification.
Project Summary
This project built a smart command center based on small-pitch LEDs for an energy control center in South America. Through a high-reliability display system, multi-network fusion signal architecture, and ergonomic optimization design, it successfully solved core problems such as 7×24-hour monitoring, visibility in strong light environments, and cross-segment data collaboration. After the project was put into operation, it became the core platform for regional energy dispatching, and the two-year trouble-free operation record verified the maturity of the industrial-grade display solution.
